It is our goal to bring melanoma awareness to our community, educating neighbors and friends about the importance of doing regular skin self-examinations. We are doing this in memory of Brenda Gilbertson, a local teacher who battled Melanoma for 9 years, and passed away April 19, 2006 at the age of 33. We ask you to partner with us in this endeavor so that together, we can make the biggest possible impact. In partnership with the Melanoma International Foundation, We will be hosting a SEED (Support through Education, Events & Development) event in Northfield. This event will be a two-mile walk at Carleton College Arboretum on April 28, 2007 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
